Specific Tactical Responsibilities: Drive select KOL adoption of novel sports medicine products Directly develop and manage Anika's distributor relationship(s) and sales performance in the respective region Become the product/technical expert in support of customers and distributors Attend surgical cases to support proper utilization of product Distributor forecasting - manage and collate distributor forecasts with contractual requirements and timings. Communicate forecasts up through the organization. Sales Channel Development: Work collaboratively with distributor(s) to ensure strong sales message delivery and selling success through the regional sales channel; organizing and participating in any sales training required. Work collaboratively with distribution partners to drive Anika product strategies and positioning in regional markets. Direct Commercial Activity: Work collaboratively with local distributor partners to win and retain major key accounts Develop and execute on any essential market access and contracting requirements in geographic region; leveraging organizational resources. Support Anika trade show and Med Programs; Support key distributor trade shows and events Support the capture of patient outcomes and user experience data Develop direct KOL relationships in the region, to drive adoption and feed into marketing activity Responsible for other duties and projects as assigned Job Complexity: Commercial leadership through 3rd parties in a complex market environment with rapid changes in competitive, reimbursement, and regulatory environments. Dealing with high level clinical opinion leaders. Responsible for multiple and shifting demands to deliver financial goals and business growth Supervisory Responsibilities: None Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in, Life Sciences, Business Management or equivalent qualification. MBA desirable. Desired Experience, Knowledge, and Skills: Three to Five years of highly successful sales management / leadership experience within the orthopedic surgical / medical device sector Proven track record of developing and owning KOL relationships at a regional or national level in the orthopedic and sports medicine space Experience developing and managing a regional distributor base Excellent communication skills, ability to sell complex medical devices Track record of being a subject matter expert in surgical or clinical area Skilled in developing financial commercial models in excel Experience in forecasting and managing forecast processes Ability to work autonomously, effectively manage time, manage multiple priorities and diverse tasks, and deliver results on time.
