The VA Medical Center in Bedford, Ma. is seeking an experienced Secretary. The incumbent will serve as the primary Secretary to the Associate Director for Patient/Nursing Services. The Secretary works closely with and is assigned work from the management staff. Incumbent monitors, evaluates, and initiates corrective action on all Clinical Services correspondence ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
ResponsibilitiesPerform office tasks utilizing various computer software programs, to include the Microsoft Office Suite Perform secretarial and clerical duties for a wide range of administrative functions necessary to maintain smooth management of an office Acts as the primary liaison between assigned office and administrative offices outside of the organization Troubleshooting basic user application problems with programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook Maintain electronic databases and files Perform secretarial duties to include general office work, maintaining calendars, and taking meeting minutes Schedule appointments, coordinate meetings and/or schedules conferences Maintain calendar of supervisors and administrative staff Monitor office supply, and equipment usage for the office and maintain adequate stock of regularly used office supplies Manage and prepares correspondence for the office Work Schedule: 7:30am to 4:00pm
