Lincoln Laboratory develops technology that enables the nation's space surveillance system to meet the challenges of space situational awareness. The Laboratory works with systems to detect, track, and identify man-made satellites; collects orbital-debris detection data to support space-flight safety; performs satellite mission and payload assessment; and investigates technology to improve monitoring of the space environment, including space weather and atmospheric and ionospheric effects. The technology emphasis is the application of new components and algorithms to enable sensors with greatly enhanced capabilities and to support the development of net-centric processing systems for the nation's Space Surveillance Network.Job Description The Homeland Protection and Air Traffic Control Division is seeking an Administrative Assistant for a busy and dynamic Division Office. Primary responsibilities will be broken out into two areas; Administrative and Special Projects:Daily Work: Act as backup for lead Administrative Assistant and lead POC for others. Focus on ensuring smooth and efficient Division Office operations: scheduling and maintaining electronic calendars, coordinating meetings, sending and receiving messages via e-mail, escorting visitors, answering phones and taking accurate messages, arranging travel and processing expense vouchers, processing electronic shopping carts, maintaining supplies, composing routine correspondence, filing both paper and electronic information, processing a variety of Laboratory forms, and handling classified material (electronic as well as hard-copy). This position will also be in charge of leading the Administrative team within the Division. This includes holding regular team meetings and coordinating group coverage. This position will also be tasked with maintaining consistent support within the Division.Special Projects: This position will also handle all release reviews and seminars for the Division. Other special project will follow and could include lead workshop coordinator.Demonstrated outstanding and effective written and oral communication skills are essential. Extensive experience with PC operation and Microsoft Office suite, SAP/SRM, and LISA (or similar systems) is required. Must be able to work both independently and cooperatively, be able to set priorities, and reliably manage multiple concurrent tasks. Professional discretion to protect sensitive and confidential information is essential. The selected candidate will be a responsible contributor and integral part of the Division 4 Office team.
